Hi Folks, Whats the best one to buy for around this price..?
I had in mind the following -
    rotel ra01
    MARANTZ PM7200
    Nad 320cbee

I listen to all kinds of music tho, I'll most likely be connecting this to my existing setup, either by a speaker switch, or bi-amping so that my integrated amp will drive the front speakers...

would / could a pre / power amp fit ino this somehow instead..?

    any comments welcome!

I'm not completely sure. The C320BEE bears the initials of one of their top design gurus and I think there a number of tweaks - in part, to the power supply - that distinguish it from the rest of the range. It'd be worth listening to the BEE and C350 to compare - 10W really isn't a lot to trade off for improved sound quality, especially given the relative strength of NAD amplification in general.

I haven't heard that particular model but have owned the C350 and C370 and they represent excellent value for money. Better than the Rotel RA's and the RB-03, IMO - they are a little smoother, especially at high levels, and have bags of dynamic headroom.

BTW, you can use the C3x0s as power-amps if you wish to take a pre-out line from your receiver for your front pair (just remove the pre/main jumper). You'll probably derive most benefit from using a direct connection from your CD player, however, in which case some kind of speaker switch might be appropriate.
