Seen this 30" LCD TV for sale, it does look quite sexy, also has a sleek aluminium case.

I'll purchase it and send in some pics, watch this space...

Did you end up getting one? I'm sort of tempted but the lack of components worries me somewhat.

It certainly looks good, the only thing that bothers me is the slow response time 25ms .

I did purchase it, and it is good value for it's size. It doesn't have separate component inputs but the scart sockets are good and s-video. If you need higher quality then the DVI input could be useful.

Are you still planning on putting up some pictures?

what are you connecting to it? PC, SKY, DVD?

    What are your overall impressions?

    Hi jelly, :hiya:

How does it cope with fast moving objects in action films and sport?

Also how good is the set with black? Is it very grey? :nono:

And finaly! how does it wall mount? Will it fit a standard bracket?

    Thanks,
    Scott

I know what you mean about sports. I’ve seen some pretty poor demos in the shops. I was expecting some issues with things like football, but as long as I’m not squinting at the picture from a few feet away, I think it’s a pretty decent image. Definitely watchable.

I haven’t really played with the contrast settings yet, but the original settings seem to be OK to me. What should I look for – and I’ll get back to you.

Not sure about the bracket as I’m using the desk stand which is fitted. I think the stand comes off as there are a couple of screws which look like they’ll come out and release the stand. There are definitely mounting holes at the top. So I assume you could get a wall bracket. You could ask the supplier (0870 753 2295 I think (avshopper)).

    Jellymonster,

I just had a look at the pdf of this TV, and it says it is 15:9 not 16:9, have you used it with a DVD player, and do you notice any abnormal picture sizes?

There is a black bar sometimes on DVDs at top & bottom, but there is a zoom option to make it viewable full screen.

    It's a good unit for it's price.
