    Just wondering what cables you would recommend that I use to link up my Denon 3910 + 3805 I need 3 pairs of analog cables.

    Thanks,

    dEVS! ;)

    Are you talking about which cables to use or which brand of cables ?

    Have you got a TV that takes HDMI or DVI ?

    Do you want to use the 3805 as a video switcher as well ?

    My suggestion would be to connect....

    3910 -> 3805 via component for video
    3910 -> 3805 via digital coaxial for audio
    3805 -> TV via component

    Is this what you are looking for ?

    Richie.

    Hi Richie, I'm very new to all this so please excuse my ignorance mate.

    I've just bought the 3910+3805 and am about to buy a sony hs20 projector.

    My intention is to hook the HS20 upto the the 3805 via HDMI - Then I've got the denon d-link for video and audio between 3910+3805.

    I understand that I can only achieve 5.1 sound via Super Audio CD by using 3 pairs of analog cables from the 5.1 analog outputs on the 3910 to the inputs on the 3805.

    I'm just not sure what leads I should be buying? I've looked on hificables.co.uk yet couldn't find what I need ;( I don't want to be spending crazy ca$h but also want something half decent - so any recommendations would be great!

    Thanks,

    Devs.

    Van den Hul also do a pack of 6 matched cables specifically for this purpose. Quick search on google should come up with something.

    It's not ignorance, it's simply not knowing...yet :smashin:

    I was in the same situation as you about 6 months ago (Not knowing about cables or even progressive scan on DVD players !). It's surprising how much you pick up !

    Right, for phono cables, also try tvcables.co.uk. Depending on your budget and length also.

    Richie.

    I can highly recommend the Mark Grant cables from the Cables Power Buy.
    £65 for a set of 6 phono cables - direct link Here.

    They are called either 'phono leads' or 'RCA leads' - just to help to confuse the likes of you and me even more :suicide: . I mean, why stick to a single name when multiple names is even more confuseing :rolleyes:

    The Mark Grant cables are available as a set of 6 leads to make connecting it all up easier, but you can easily just use three stereo leads to get the same results.

    Don't worry, you'll get there in the end. But I think, like most of us you'll get your head around everything just about the time hell freezes over :D . 'Till then you can always ask on here :smashin:

    To me, the term 'Interconnects' are deemed to be anything that connects a one piece of equipment to another. Whether that be RCAs, Digital Coax, Component etc. but RCAs/Phonos are called these also.
