I purchsed 3 DVDs from Woolworths today, took the cases to the desk expecting to get sealed versions.
Instead the girl behind the counter went to the drawers at the back and proceeded to get the discs out and literally threw each one onto the counter from where she stood.
When she had found all three I asked her to find three more and this time to treat them with more respect as there were about to be my property and I would prefer them to be undamaged.
At this point she slid each disc across the counter silver side down to the edge of the counter before turning them over to show me there were no marks on them,I said okay there might not be but that isn't how you should be treating them, she looked at me as if I had horns on my head!
To cut long(ish) story short I did get un-thrown,un-dragged discs in the end but she didn't seem to think anything was wrong with what she had done.

    what an asswipe.

The dvds had better been worth it to put up with that kind of crap.

Dont suppose you even got an apology?

I'd have made her box it up and then walked out.

This just goes to show what a bunch of A**H*L*S are employed to work at Woolies.

Last Xmas I bought for a present the triple dvd edition of 'Really Bend it Like Beckham' footie training dvd. Guess what the dunce put in the case  .

I rushed back to the shop 10 mins before closing time only to find the shop locked up. The little s**t of a manager said he couldn't open up as all the tills had been closed down. I said I don't need a refund just the correct contents. He would not listen. I assume he just wanted to get home early.

So my cousin just got an IOU xmas present. And I had to change it after xmas (when I could have bought it cheaper  ).

Don't get me started with more stories of woolies as I could go on all day. Let's just say that unless anyone here can prove otherwise, you don't need qualifications in manners, intelligence, or common sense to work at Woolies !

You know the old saying when it comes to employing staff - if you pay peanuts you get monkeys - sounds like it's true at Woolies.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Woolies dvd's are secondhand by the time the customer buys them. I hardly ever buy from them anymore even the good bargains.

I wouldn't have bought them just out of priciple! I hate it when ppl mis-treat my stuff even mates lol but you really don't expect it and should not accept it from a retailer.

As said before their A**H***S and haven't got a clue!

But then having said that i am REALLY particular with my posessions especially my dvd's. I don't like any blemishes whatsoever on my discs just like everyone here but i also don't like any creases or dents in the cases, even the slightest. Its got to be in absolute perfect condition before i buy it or i'll walk away regardless of how much i want it and pay more for it somewhere else in perfect condition.
I'm even like it with my magazines - Hate it when a page is creased!! lol Do i have a problem?

    Tony

I have bought a few dvd's from woolies and they have all been sealed, but on a similar vain, how many of you have received dvd's from various online retailers unsealed.I bought one off CDWOW recently. It was unsealed and looked like it had been used as a coaster for 6months.

But then I think we all are fanatical and compassionate about our dvds here on this forum.

All my DVD's are purchased online (wouldn't pay the rip-off prices of the high street) and never received one that wasn't sealed.

    Cheers,

    Martin.
