I have a Panasonic Plasma and I want to connect 3 devices to it with the optimum connection.

    1. Sky decoder
    2. DVD Player (non-progressive)
    3. Playstation 2

The ideal scenario would be to feed these three devices into one box that then connected to the Plasma using the Component inputs. But can I find a device to do this!

I would upgrade to a Progressive DVD player but that will cuase me even more headaches.

To get the best from the PS2 I need to use a component connection. This is the only way to use the higher resolution feature in games like The Getaway, Primal, etc.

Obviously I would like to connect the DVD and Sky using RGB to Component cables. Like the one from QED.

I though a de-interlacer like the iScan Ultra might be the ticket, but that only has 2 component inputs. Can't pass through progressive on either and has problems with PAL60.

The Centre Stage CS1 might be more suited to my problem, I'm not sure.

I really don't want to go down the route of using the Amp for the devices switiching because I am happy with my current solution.

    Any thoughts?

I've found my solution which was very simple.

I'm surprised my local Hi Fi dealer could not have came up with the same answer.

After a little searching on the web I found three firms that make component switching boxes.

    Key Digital
    Extron
    Zektor

With a little bit of input from Gordon the AV specialist I'm pretty sure I'm going to go ahead with the Key Digital switching box.

This can take four component inputs. I will use this to replace my Owl RGB to Component convertor.

I can now get a Progressive DVD player and have everything connected in the way I want, ensuring optimal picture for Sky, PS2 and DVD.

Well perhaps one of you professional guys could talk to AA and become a distributer? They have other good products.

    Cheers,
    Neil.
