is it possible to buy a 6.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for fit a headphone cable into my amp?
Do you have any links to wear I could buy one, whatever searches i type into Google it only comes back with 3.6 to 6.5 adapters.
1/4 inch to 3.5mm - Google Search
Sorry I was being really silly, I mean a 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter. My amp (Pioneer LX55) had a phono socket so I guess that's what I need to plug my headphones into? Would maplin do something that I require as it seems stupid to pay more for postage then the actual item!
Yup. Both types. Ebay usually have good prices for things like that (from HK) Grado have the one you don't want (6.5mm to 3.5mm) but it's good quality cable
So you want to turn this;
Because phono is usually mono - you need two RCAs to make a stereo link. So you'd need a stereo RCA (2x RCA) to female 3.5mm jack, in order to connect your headphones, which I guess has a normal male 3.5mm stereo jack.
think he means one of these
3.5mm to 6.5mm Adaptor Jack Audio Converter £2.22 GBP
yeah I was gonna say that's more likely, but then he said the amp has a phono connection!?!
Confusion with phono and phone probably.
As Berties said, maplin do both types. Just click on "check store stock" and type in your town.
^ But if maplins charge excessive amount, just do a ebay it..
