hi, i have been looking for an cable to get me from an 3.5mm jack (whats on my audiogy2) to an opitcal cable. I have seen them little adaptors which u plug into an jack then the opitcal on the other side.

the lead "Profigold PGD582" has this setup, does theses little adapotors work? do they allow PCM and DD to go down the cable? i know using this means ill get only stereo and encoded data down it, but im looking at this as an improment to my stereo music, as i use the pc for that.

if i do get one, ill probably end up getting an little adapator and then an profigold 3m opitcal.
