Afternoon,
I have a 7000 series Hisense TV and a Creative stage air.
The Creative Air has not Optical socket but does have Bluetooth and Aux.
I would like to conect to TV with a wired conection.
Would a toslink adapter be what i need or just a plain Optical to 3.5mm jack cable.
Thanks for the help.

Optical is a digital signal - 3.5mm indicates and analogue siganl so no ‘cable’ alone is going to work for you.

Do you have a link to the TV specs or user manual?

Hi Joe.
Thank you for helping.
https://hisense.co.uk/help-guides/
Mine is the H55B7500UK .
I see from the connect a seperate speaker under new start up there is 3.5mm headphones and aux and rca on Tv.....so i guess aux or rca to speaker from tv will do the job?
Or would i get a better sound from optical to dac box to speaker via 3.5 or rca?.

Regards.
David.

I would try the TV Headphone 3.5mm Out to the Soundbar 3.5mm Aux in - that will cost very little to try out - if there were any issues you would be looking to spend around £30 on an Optical to Stereo DAC plus cables.
