Hey guys, does anybody know where I can purchase such a thing? Basically Im having my plasma 50'' Pannie 50Z0B wall mounted and need a long power lead as im pretty sure the one that will arrive with my TV will be too short. Somebody says it's simply a 'kettle' lead. Is this true? If so where can I buy a long one from?

If you wanted a good build, then you could go here:

Mark Grant - DSP 2.5 Dual Screened power cable [Mark Grant - DSP 2.5] - £40.00 : AV Cables and Interconnects, UK Cables Shop

Alternatively, you could look on ebay and get a much cheaper one.

Yes this is the right one. Remember that it is not screened so keep it away from other audio leads and speaker cable.

The Mark Grant one is screened. Depending how you pay he may be able to get it to you for Saturday. Just got a 4.5m DSP2.5 ordered yesterday, delivered today.

What do you mean by 'screened' mate? I guess it's going to be running alongside a couple of scart cables and HDMI cables. It wont be near speaker cable or Optical leads. Would that be ok? Although my HDMI leads from TV will be going in to my onkyo amp. Would this be ok?

I diddnt think power cables mattered??

I have run a 7M long mains & HDMI together guessing it was shielded or Id have had problems with projector, but rule of thumb cables can happily cross at right angles with little or no interference Iv got speaker wire's crossing mains for rear speakers no hum etc.

It's best to separate the mains from the other's if you can though & you said:

I didnt think power cables mattered??

Believe me there can be lots to be had sonically & picture wise getting cables dressed around kit right.

Hers a link to where I got mine they run 1080P 24fps with blueray no problem at all price inc delivery too check out the cables he sells seem cheaper on ebay than the main website ??

HDMI Cables, DVI Cables and Mini HDMI Cable we have them all.

New 7m 7 meter Premium HDMI Cable Gold Lead HD 1080p on eBay, also, Cables Connectors, Digital Camera Accessories, Photography (end time 18-Feb-09 11:56:54 GMT)

    Thanks for the input guys.

Im going to take the risk and run my power supply from plasma alongside 2 scart cables, 2x hdmi and a component. If I start getting 'hum' sounds then god knows what I'll do! :(

Im not going to run my power supply anywhere near my speaker cables or phone cables, and judging by what Ive read, this is where most problems occur?

    Fingers crossed it goes smoothly!
