3:3 pull down at 72hz - the next big thing?

    Will we see progressive scan dvd players that offer 3:3 pull down at 72hz anytime soon (as you may or may not know, NTSC films use a 3:2 pull down algorithm at 60hz that "judders")? And what about DVI HDCP, is that coming to the UK?

    Not likely since most displays can't handle 72Hz (yet). And I guess if you repeat every frame 3 times it will also cause judder of some kind.
    The only true solution would be to record films at a higher rate, like 50fps but it will produce more data of course.
