Already have the French disc of this but hopefully this'll bring the film a new audience in the UK

Not sure this one benefited all that much from the BD treatment.

Will be interesting to see how the transfer of the new UK bluray is...not expecting too much tho.

Being Blu-Ray I'd expect finer detail:

Never saw this but one of those films I've always been meaning to watch. Might blind-buy it if it's lower in price. The DVD was a little hard to get hold of I seem to remember.

It's fine, but it still looks like what it is, hence my earlier comment.

    Yeah 1080pi

The French Blu-ray looks very good and gives us all we can get I assume. The old Pathe UK DVD is pants in comparison.

l'll have to read some reviews first before I decide to upgrade my Pathe UK DVD, I think I am more interested in the SQ than the PQ as I don't mind a bit of ruff in the looks as its that kind of movie, but the soundtrack just rocks so I hope its got a decent HD mix.

Awesome, didn't realise Mark Margolis was in this...probably explains why he's in a bunch of Aronofsky films. I might pick this up once it drops in price as I never got hold of the DVD. Plus I hear it's Aronofsky's best film, and I don't usually get along with his other films (Requiem For A Dream, Black Swan) but this film looks up my street.
