I have 2 component sources (Xbox and Wii). I have two display devices, a projector and a TV - both have 1 component input each.

I want to passively split both signals and then recombine them. I won't have both signals on at once, nor will I have both display devices on at once.

I could build on using a bunch of bits like this http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/404

But I'd rather use something like http://www.cyberselect.co.uk/product/1028

So, is there anything which will go 2 to 2?

    Hello terryeden

Not many 'passive' 2x2 devices on the market.

Have a look at the JS Technology 2x1 switch + 1x2 Splitter - saves any potential problems with having more than one Source active plus you can view the selected image on both Displays simultaneously; see http://www.js-technology.com/

You can get a 4x2 one from KEENE

Which I think are very good products

The AVT5842MX is a 4 input by 2 output switcher that can be used for either YPbPr Progressive Scan Video or YCbCr Component Video, plus Stereo Audio. It is a dual output switcher and sends the selected input to the outputs independently. Since it is a Matrix Switcher, each of the two outputs can have the same or a different video signal, selected from the four inputs. Selection can be made by the front panel push buttons or by the IR Remote Control.

    Hello the_Geezer

Note the AVT5842MX is not rated for 1080p - not an issue for some but will be for others if they suffer image degradation through the switch.
