I've just installed a 2nd sata HDD in my pc (where did the first 320gigs go...?!) but how do I move, say, 'my videos' over to the 2nd drive? Is it just a case of moving the 'my videos' folder from the first drive? Or do I need to get mce to 'look' at the 2nd drive? Can I have two 'my videos' folders? (and what about my music?)

As usual, microsoft help is lacking, google hasnt turned up much.

    Help appreciated.

    Thanks,

While in My Videos if you press the info button and 'add folders' you can add and remove folders from there, I do it often as I am always moving content around between my two drives.

Hmmmm, i think i did that earlier, but that means my 2nd drive will show up as a 'folder', so I will then have to click on the folder to then see the folders of films/tv shows within it, right?

I guess I was thinking that I'd just like my videos to be on one screen without having to click on extra drive folders.

Maybe i need to rethink how i catalogue my films/tv shows then?

You can simply move your "My Videos" folder to your 2nd drive MCE will do the rest.

I do this with my entire "My Documents" and "Favorites" so that when I Ghost restore my O/S I don't loose any data.

I think either or both will work, you can add a folder, within a folder, within a folder if you catch my drift. For instance D:\Home Movies\Holidays\Cyprus will place the Cyprus folder in MCE My Videos, which is in Holidays Folder which is in Home Movies folder, which is on the D drive....

Easiest way to move a windows folder is to right-click drag it the new location. When you drop it it will ask if you want to move or copy, select move and then all the registry changes will be done for you.
