Traded in my 360 at game yesterday for a 2nd hand ps3 - a few of the options (parental control etc) ask for a 4 digit pin - obviously I don't know it and I can't see how you reset this as it asks for old pin when trying to change it. Anyone know if there's anything I can do about this?

Cheers,
Mark

Hi theres an option to format and also to restore the ps3 to its original state in one of the setup options, im not sure if this would reset passwords but would have thought it would. hope this is of some help

Hi go to settings on the XMB and then go down to format hard drive i think it is then restore and then the PS3 will be like new all settings and passworlds will be set to default.

the old password if not changed should be 0000, try it and it might work, try also 1234 as that worked by luck for a friend of mine and might work for you too.

Thanks for all your replies - I'll try combinations of the above!:smashin:

The '0000' worked - thanks fellas.
