Hi

I have a 2inch black line on the left side of the screen that goes from the top to the middle of the screen. The make/model is LG DU-60PY10. Does any one know what the problem is and how much it will cost to have it repaired???

Soinds like a panel driver board. The main problem is not cost, but availability of spares. Just a thought, try asking in your local richer sounds, I have known of a branch, Cheltenham in fact, who got a 60LG repaired, very cheaply too. But LG have such model churn, it's hard to get parts for them, so don't get too excited.

Thanks
Just had the repair man come and have a look at it and he advised it has a faulty chip component that cant be replaced or repaired????

When i worked in AV i use to see this all the time on LG screens, they werent worth reparing unless under warrenty and even then LG were hopeless. We installed hundreds of LG screens (inclosed in metal cases) in the GALA casinos all over the UK and within 2 years all had to be replaced under warrenty. Sunderland had 6-7 42" and all went down in the space of a couple months.
