    Hi All
I found the fix to the flashes on HDMI with the 2910 and the 3910.
It was to do with power spikes and I think my central heating. I have a UPS now which does a gret job of smooting the power and the problem is no longer a problem.
Just thought you all would like to know because Denon never had the time to reply  .

Good to keep in mind, thanks.
We tweakers sometimes kill our brains searching from something outrageous only to find the cure may be THIS simple...

    Bad news guys!!
I since have done some more tests and the problem has come back. it seems to relate to older films only !! I give up !!
I wish Denon knew or would admit to knowing, I realise it not a deal breaker but still would like it sorted.

    back to the drawing board.
    :(

    Try this:
Set the player to PAL or NTSC instead of AUTO.
It does a lot of switching in AUTO mode.
Frankly I guess you already tried this, but it may be worth a mention!

    Hi:

Are you using HDMI connection? There is a know problem with the panny AE700 HDMI input and Denon HDMI output. They keep losing the synchro. The problem is with the AE700, not the Denon player. Look at www.avsforum.com for more info.

    Regards,

    J. Rosado
