I am looking to replace my bedroom TV. A 27" or 28" is the perfect size.
I have done the internet searches and have visited Currys and at the moment the front runner is the Samsung 27" LT27B551, I don't really need the smart capability as it will be used in conjunction with my Talktalk STB.
Do I really need a full HD resolution for this size TV.
At the moment I am using a 22" Luxor from Asda which has given me 10 years service, and I still wonder whether a more reputable manufacturer will give me a much improved picture quality.
The Samsung 27" LT27B551 did however play all types of video files from my memory stick inc avi,wmv and mkv so that was impressive.
Any views and points would be most welcome.
    My Budget is £250 max
    Thanks

Have you had a look at the Samsung T28C570?

I got one just before xmas for under £200 to replace a failing P2770HD and I couldn’t be happier with it. It has a couple of HDMI connections, VGA, Component/Composite, Scart, Freeview and a USB Media Player. It uses a nice VA panel too meaning decent viewing angles and excellent blacks.
