Hi, im pretty new to all this stuff  and i was wondering whether there is any differenence between a 26" LCD screen and a 28" LCD screen, and i dont mean 2", im talking quality and resolution.
This is because i have just baught a PS3 and i am looking for a new TV for my room.
Can anyone help and possibly give any suggestions for an LCD TV of this size?:lease:
    Thank You!:)

There aren't any 28" sets, and if they are, they'll be small brands that are most likely not worth bothering with.

26" it is then. Sony T3000 and S3000 are good. Philips and Toshiba are also worth looking at.

iirc...not got a tape to measure but a 26" LCD gives you the same screen size/area of a 28" CRT...waits for someone to do the math and tell me I'm wrong ;)

Sorry, but what do you mean by a "lower panel(TN)" ?
Because $400 is a little over my price range, but the S3000 is closer to what i want to spend, unless there is a significant enough difference!

Thankyou for your advice. I'm definately going to go for that then .

While im here though, my brother has asked me to help him find a smaller screen. He is hoping for a 22" and nothing very expensive at all, im not sure exactly what price range he is looking at but i think it will be around £200-£250 I guess, like I said, nothing overly expensive. He is hoping it has HD ready and has HDMI connections because he is hoping to get a PS3 after his birthday in July. You couldnt help me out again could you :lease: because I cant make a decision without anyone elses views and reviews.
Might be a bit of a challenge but i have faith in you all :smashin:

    Thanks again!

Seems to be a bit of slant towards Sony on these forums, personally I would consider the Panasonic LXD70 - that is the best 26" and most feature specced tv on the market - bit more expensive than then Sony but if you compare the two there is no comparison!
