26 LG3000, newbie advice please

I just bought a PS3 and a 26 LG3000 lcd tv, overall I am very pleased with it. However, yesterday I watched my first Blu Ray movie (The Dark Night) and the screen kept changing the brightness depending on the lighting in the movie (it went dark during dark scenes), I found it annoying and distracting. I tried changing the settings on both the TV and the PS3 but it didn't help. Any advice?

Have you tried the differnet presets and also the following settings:
Fresh Contrast
Optimizes the contrast automatically according to the brightness of the reflection.
Fresh Colour
Adjusts the colour of the reflection automatically to reproduce as close as possible natural colours.
Noise Reduction
Removes interference up to the point where it does not damage the original picture.
Gamma
High gamma values display whitish images and low gamma values display high contrast images.
