2500 budget ... what TV?

    Hello all you knowledgable folks.
    I got a 2.5Kbudget to get the best screen I can, am new to this so dont know if Id be better with plasma or lcd. Will be getting Sky HD eventually and a recorder of some sort.
    Any recommendations or advice appreciated.

    Admitted its not the biggest budget in the world but someone must have an opinion!!

    The Philips pf429831 is highly rated by the magazines. Would cost about £2300 now. From what I saw, it had a very nice picture.
