24 sitting there to record and nothing happened!!!

So I switch over at 9.25 from a program I was watching to play catch up on 24 (series linked on Sky1 HD) and lo and behold 24 is sat on planner as record with nothing happening, no recording taking place and the program happily started at 9.00

I am really starting to get hacked off with Sky and the apparant lack of Quality on their equipment/software whatever! What is the point on having this hugely expensive service and equipment when it suits itself when and if it will actually work properly (other issues being the HD audio dropouts etc.)

So now I have to sit in front of the box to make sure it actually starts recording Lost at 10.00 which really makes having this wonderful recording box so useful doesn't it :(

Well mine recorded ok.I sat down to watch it at 9.30,got halfway through then the whole box went dead.

Eventually came back on about 5 mins later, when i went to try and watch the rest of what i thought was recorded nothing happens.

So bloody pi**ed off at this moment.

Can anyone here tell me when this episode of 24 will be repeated? I don't think i'll be relying on a recording again.

...and to think we pay for this service too.

Does yor box get hot? I have had a lot of presumed overheating problems with HD recording...I have to leave my cabinet open for it to work properly :(

It is on Saturday night at 10pm. Although will prob have to actually try and be in to watch it as don't want to risk this one not working either :(

I set the box to record Wallace & Gromit on Sky HD1 on Saturday night. Went to watch it yesterday and it shows in the 'To be Recorded/Viewed' column of the planner as 14/04 9:00pm, and I can't even delete it.

I had this problem as well, the box didn't start recording when it was supposed to on a few succesive programs. I unpluged it at the wall and then powered it back up and everything was ok after that.
