I heard when 24 series 1 was first released that the R2 boxset was substantially cut and there was an option to send the discs back to be replaced.

Is this still the case or are the R2 boxsets now uncut?

It would also be good to know if series 2 suffered any cuts aswell.

    Many Thanks

    :D

    Hi

If you do a search on these forums, you should bring up loads of threads on the early R2 Season 1 sets.

I am sure there is a thread with the address to send them too and also how to identify the discs to see if you have the latest version.

I remember they said at the time that they would not be releasing a different version in the future and that the only way to get the other discs was by sending off.

Thanks guys, I've found on previous posts that the US version was cut as was early versions of the UK sets but the new sets should now be uncut.

One other point I'd like to make is my dissapointment at sky not showing s3 in widescreen as the bbc did. That added to the cinematic quality of the series and I've notices sky have done the same with other shows like Enterprise, do they have another channel on digital that they repeat these shows in w/s or something?

Anyways I'm off now to order those dvds,

    Thanks,

    Harold
