December for the Region 1 set of Season four even though it aired there before over here? Thats complete and utter madness!

I've got a R1 set of all 3 previous ones, and dont want to spoil the collection by going for a R2 version of the fourth :(

I'm a massive fan of 24 too. Forgive me for my ignorance but what exactly is the difference between R1 and R2 versions?

    Razor,

when i watched the first season it happened completely by accident. because all the hype surrounding Season 1 i bought the DVD just prior to its release (working in the trade i got it a bit early :smashin: ). so at about half 11 on the saturday morning i foolishly watched the first episode. before i knew it the first disc was dead and i was reaching for the second :D we were meant to be going out that night but it just didn't happen. went to bed about 1am. got up sunday and did it all again. :D

by late sunday night the house looked like Drezden :D take away boxes, can bottles and two teenagers moaning they haven't been fed :D

    Can't wait for this too.

Got me thinking as well........going to the States in September. 8 hour flight to look forward too

Reckon I might get myself a portable DVD player and take a series of 24 with me.

Journey should fly (no pun intended :D ) by then :)

Didn't start watching 24 until Day 4  and I am now naturally hooked! Just working my way through the Day 1 Boxset now and have done discs 1 & 2.

I must agree that this is the best TV Series ever to grace a TV set (IMO) and Day 1 is turning out to be at least as good (if not better) than Day 4. It is highly addictive viewing and if I had the time to watch the DVD's all the way through then I probably would :D .

I also agree that watching them on Box set is much better than on TV but I honestly don't know how you have the willpower to resist watching it on TV.

Mrs D and I tried to watch Day 2 on BBC but it just wasn't the same - the week gaps were just too long. then it moved to sky - i WONT watch sky as its rubbish!!!

to be honest CAS i will MAKE the time, i'll clear the decks, get the shopping done and make sure that everyone thinks i've gone away for the weekend. :smashin: i cant wait to hear that "clock" again  this is one of the highlights of my viewing year.

Indeed, the week gap is a nightmare but one thing is for certain, it made Sunday night really worth looking forward to.

Oh and those immortal words "The following takes place between the hours of..." :D :smashin:

I was introduced to 24 when I moved house and sky couldnt connect up for 3 weeks.

There isn't an ariel on my house so I was stuck with dvd's. A good friend of mine lent me the box set and told me it was right up my street. I watched the whole first series in 4 days. I would get to the end of an episode and I would say to myself 'Just watch the first 10 minutes to see what is happening' as they always leave you n a cliff hanger. You can guess what happened next I saw the whole of the episode and I was left on another cliff hanger

I would love to have a 24 day like I used too but I just cant resist watching them as soon as they come out. I always say to the missus its a 'Jack night' when I have the latest episode.

24 is the best of the best and for me ranks along side x-files.

    Cas Fan :hiya:

You have plenty of 24 to go but becarefull as it will soon run out and you wil be left without a 'Jack fix' :(

I wont spoil it for you but your in for a treat with series 1, the surprises just keep on coming. :smashin:

On another note I like David Palmer, a great character

    :D

To finish the series in 2 days is impressive. I admire your dedication and comitment :smashin:

I know I have said this before but if your suffering from a lack of 24 try 'The Grid'

16 hours in one hit

The nearest I have come to this type of movie fest was all three extended versions of Lord of the Rings back to back. :D
