    Hi,

As I'm certain this will be one of the most discussed shows this year, I thought I'd start this thread up, so that those of us who want to discuss the show airing on Sky 1, can do so, without fear of annoying those who are choosing not to. :)

Feel free to use this thread to discuss episodes that have already aired in the UK on Sky 1, and to discuss past episodes or characters from the previous 3 Days.

All I ask, for the sake of decorum, is that if the episode has NOT been shown on Sky 1 in the UK, that you DO NOT spoil it for others, by discussing or announcing any future plot or character spoilers of any kind please. I know there are lots of you who will insist on downloading it from the USA, :thumbsdow but for the rest of us, please don't spoil the surprises. :lesson: Thanks! :)

The first two episodes, start on Sunday 30th Jan on Sky 1! This time, Jack Bauer's day starts at 7am! Whilst I admit that Days 1 and 2 were truly superb, Day 3 wasn't quite as enjoyable, only because it took a few "hours" to get going. However, once it did, it was still worth a watch. I can't wait to see how Day 4 goes, and who will live or die! (If you haven't seen Day 3 yet, I'd recommend you do so, as Day 4 continues almost directly from the Day 3 finale!)

This thread takes place between 30th January and 10th July 2005! Postings occur in real time!

I am a big big big fan of 24. However if I recall correctly, there was hardly ANY chat about this on the forums last year. Partly because I think season 3 was weaker than the first two, and partly because the 'novelty' factor had worn off. (for example look at all the threads about 'new' shows like Battlestar Galactica, The 4400 etc)

Anyway, I have just embarked on a season 3 marathon DVD viewing session (bought it today) which I will try to squeeze in before watching Sunday night's first episode!

P.S. Where's Bobbles these days? I'm sure he was a big 24 fan in the 'early days'.

    :hiya:

Hell yeah!! I thought Curtis was just another desk-bound office bureacrat, but he's hard!

Now if he can just use that neck-break move on his stupid female boss (Erin?).....

Tony, on the other hand, looks just like a drunk whose down on his luck; great beer-belly. :D

loving this series. Curtis is going to hopefully be a character that will take off, and all in all I'm impressed with all the new characters.
    Last Sundays episode was great.
Will we see Nina Myers though ????? and Kim in her tight t-shirts ????

I thought Nina was dead?

I agree, think Curtis is great - I like when Jack has a sidekick who is up to the physical demands of the job. (Chase)

But two episodes ago Curtis and Erin Driscoll seemed to agree to cover up their involvement in the recruitment of wotsername...is he a good 'un or a bad 'un?

Wonder if we'll see Edgar "in the field" busting up some terrorists...

From the look of things Edgar will only be taking terrorists down if they're covered in barbecue sauce.

Its getting better and better! It took a while to get used to the new characters but its great now! Such a moment when (Spoiler) Tony came back!!

Getting to like Curtis and Edgar too, even starting to feel sorry for Driscoll!!

Lets keep this thread going throughout the series, have been surprised at the lack of postings!

Really!?? i think 3 was actually the best! very very good, only slightly better than 1st which was excellent too, for me series 2 was the weakest, still very good though!

i thought season 2 was definitely tbe weakest, but season 3 was the one that got the worst ratings. That doesn't mean as much as Fox tried to make out though, pretty much every tv show has a drop in ratings in season 3! i kinda liked the non stop plot of season 3, whereas season 4 has gone back to having lots of different plots. It seems like any situation that occurs gets sorted out in 1 or 2 episodes and then they move onto something else. I'm a bit disappointed there's no eye candy in this one though, baruz' girlfriend was fine but she didnt last very long at all.. jack's new girlfriend looks like a horse.

Yeah there is a lack of hotties in Season 4 i have no one to look at while the Mrs is drooling over Jack & Tony!!

Yes, wonder what will happen (Spoiler)now all the reactors are safe from meltdown they still have a lot of episodes to fill! By the way what episode are we on, i've forgotten what time it started?

I seem to recall that the poster for the film "The Girl Next Door" (starring Elisha "Kim Bauer" Cuthbert) included a caption along the lines of "Love, laughs, and Kim Bauer naked - what more do you want?" So I guess you're not the only person who feels like that.

Can't believe i'm going to have to wait till Aug to see this :(

Don't have Sky so DVD it will be.

I just finished watching Season (oh my god it was so fecking awesome) 3 but I might have to watch it again (or buy one of the other 2 seasons) to fill the gap.

Incidentally, does anyone know wether the S1 R2 box set on sale now will have the updated discs (remember there was an issue with some of the discs on the original release) and if theres any way of knowing before buying. Serial number on the box or something..

    TIA

Sorry for straying slightly OT but I'm still getting through day 1, think I'm up to 4pm-ish.

Though largely very enjoyable I do find a couple of the characters annoying, mainly

Bauer's daughter ("Oh mummy I've just been shot at but I'll still run to the water tower to see if the guy who helped kidnap me is OK")

Palmer's son (who seems to just sulk around campaign apartments with his hands in his pockets talking about his shrink)

Are either of these bumped off by any chance?... no, wait, don't tell me... it will spoil the anticipation...PJ :D

Not seen S1 for a while now.

Kim can be annoying but on the flipside, think of what she brings to 24.

I just can't imagine anything else in 24 getting my blood rushing like she does :D :D

Well maybe Nina as well then :)
