Not only is is ugly, I don't think it would 'blend in' with most living rooms, except perhaps those with a Chesterfield sofa. Even then if it was positioned in the optimal place it might just look odd (say front corner where it's on show).
I reckon something wooden and downfiring that looks more like a table, in wall or something that just looks like a nice piece of furniture would all be better options.
Looks like a thing.... a thing that's ugly.... an ugly thing that doesn't know what is is... or what it's for...or where it should be... It's a confused ugly thing that's lost.
Some may like that...but it's not my sort of thing!
