Need a long ethernet cable (cat5 I should imagine would suffice perfectly fine) to connect my mums router and Youview box - just wanted to ask if I'll see any problems running a cable of this length. I can't see so, since her house already has two very long cat5 cables running through it, which are terminated in RJ45 sockets with 1m ethernet cables to connect to the devices.

You'll be fine with anything up to ~100m

Thank you! I thought I'd be ok at that length, but thought I'd ask :)

Just to confirm you want Cat5e cable. Shouldn't be any Cat5 cable around these days but just in case you're looking at some very old stock.
