Has there been any details of what's new with the WEBOS 4.5?
Will all TV's have the same apps like Freeview etc (UK)..

Nothing is lost with updates. It might be that Freeview chose not to support your TV model.

Are you talking about a software update on your tv, or the new WebOS system available on the 2019 LGs? Unfortunately you haven’t been clear.

We don't need to focus on my TV what id like to know..maybe others.. there was lets say starting with WebOS 3.0 system that has gone up to 4.5 .. what features as a list has made this difference. Is it just added apps? or various other changes?.. probably better shown on a link dedicated to knowing this.

You weren’t clear about what you wanted, thus we couldn’t give you an answer.

Apps come and go, there’s no hard list to guarantee what apps are supported and what aren’t. Generally, all the key apps (iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon) are all available on all WebOS versions dating back to 2.0.

    To answer your question

    3.0 to 3.5 - 2017 release
Small changes, Dolby Vision and Atmos through apps now fully supported, improved voice control. Gallery mode on OLEDs

    3.5 to 4.0 - 2018 release
Quicker response of OS, Google Assistant available, ThinQ AI platform with much improved voice control. Alexa support from another device. Gallery mode on OLED and SuperUHD.

    4.0 to 4.5 - 2019 release.
Overhauled design, looks cleaner and quicker response. Intelligent sorting of apps in ‘drawer’ by order of frequency used. Ability to add YouTube channels into the drawer for quick access. Full Alexa support. Enhancement of Voice control, understands more commands and follows conversation (what’s the weather in Paris? Sunny. And tomorrow?) which wasn’t ready last year. Home dashboard to support other ThinQ devices or IOT devices, like washing machines, ovens, Nest etc.

Yeah sorry should of said more than 'details of what's new with the WEBOS 4.5'

It sounds from what you list the main updates were to with the voice assistants. With youtube and putting channels in a drawer .. would you need to sign in to youtube to do this or would it do this by a easier way and just save direct links to the channels?

No, I don’t think you need sign into YouTube, all it does is provides a shortcut to a channel... of course, signing in shows your favourites but that doesn’t matter to all

Ultimately yes, the functionality and apps have stayed the same, a lot of changes with voice control and AI features is what most of the new stuff is
