So this years models are ~5k cheaper in US.

Bet the UK gonna rip its people off though.

So the C8 is launching at the equivalent of approx £2150 so the B8 will probably launch at less then the B7 is currently over here!!

You need to add 20% to USD prices to cover VAT, sales tax will not be included in that USD price, generally we pay £ for $ close enough. Not sure about the EUR price.

I wouldn't expect the 55" C8 to launch at less than £2.5k, probably closer to £3k.

£2500 is what I'm expecting, £2250 being optimistic (and what it should be based on the EUR conversion). Perhaps that means the B8 (if anyone cares about that one with it's lower CPU) will start below £2000.

Not exactly cheap then since a c8 55 costs at much as a C7 65 today. Lol

Interesting that the C and E are now much closer in price, suggesting LG have more fully admitted the main difference is style between these.
However, as the B is to be lacking the A9 processor this should suggest a greater separation in price than the $500 from C to E - though I wouldn't be surprised if it's still a $500 difference as $1000 would be bargain time!

No sound bar this year I think is the reason for e price

Cant really compare brand spanking new to one that is nearing the end of its top line run in price.

5k drop in starting price compared to the C7 release is a good sight to see.

C7 dropped what, 4-5k in the first half a year.

Except nothing has really changed between the models has it. Maybe LG has realised nobody pays those dumb prices at launch when all the reviewers are saying the picture quality is identical.

I also don't think this year they have tons of stock to move of last years models.

Hughes are now listing the new models. 55" C8 is £2999, E8 is £3499. The 65" C8 is £4499!!!

Same price as the US price, wtf hughes.

Or are these just placemarkers til they get the retail prices.

Doesn't matter what the prices are at launch as no one with a bit of common sense will pay it. Instead, they'll wait for the drop as happens every year. Then they'll be able to get 2 tvs for the original launch price. :)

So at launch the price differential between DE and UK is almost £1399 for the 65C8 :suicide:
Are LG taking us for mugs ?

Also interesting seems to be that the casback is exclusive to JL for April - all other vendors only have qualifying period starting in May

Might just get one from THOMAS DE - for 3.1KGBP equivalent.
