I see it less on high quality content too. But I do see it easily on bw scenes or tv broadcast. Also often I notice the left to be a tad brighter. Still unsure if mine isnt just the way almost all 65 are.

I am going to deliver my B7 tomorrow, and exchange it in a C7 (I get it for the same price).
I have decided to ask to pick the C7 with the latest build.
Is the serial nr the same as B7? The 3 first numbers tells the build? (As my B7 is 708, Aug 17)

B and C are the same TV except the stand, serial number rule applies. I just got a 711 and it’s perfect no yellow at any angle on a pure white test screen.

I have a 55B7 built in November and it shows slight red/yellow tint on the right edge when viewing from the right.

When viewing from the right is no problem for me, I just want one without any yellow when viewed straight-on. Any info on how a C7 built in october would be? Or is it still a lottery, despite build date?

Ok but it's not that uncommon to find a 65" which has no yellow when viewed straight on right? I couldn't care less about viewing angles, don't mind tinting when viewed at an angle nor do banding bothers me a lot (maybe because I have a good one here). But my eyes just hurt when I see black/white scenes or grayish screens. For example right now there's a broadcast here which shows webcams from ski-areas in Europe. So it's all greyish, white scenes. The disuniformity is just ridiculous. I'm sitting at my desk viewing the tv at quite an extreme angle (will post pic) and from this angle, the sides are ok but the center has a yellow/magenta hue to it depending on the scene.

Problem is, when I go sit straight in the middle, this shifts to the left and more spread over to the right 50%. So I just want a screen that's either free of this, or where the yellowing is uniform all over the image.

I think 65 inch screens suffer the most. I have a bit of the left hand side and you can't see it unless solid colours or white are on screen for extended time.

Many people claim there is no tint on their screen but I'd say that it's likely there in one Form or another.

Oled has limits and it seems that the tech comes with Downsides like led or plasma. I think the issue is minor if it's not severe tinting.

Panel uniformity is a big limit of all oled. It is way better now than it used to be.

Since I have no banding or any image retention at all I'm going to live with a little tint on the left edge.

Cloudy blacks for LED and poor black uniformity are standard. White colour temperature is oleds weakness. Chasing perfection will ruin the fun of any purchase.

It appears to me as if most owners have it to a certain degree but it only shows up in special circumstances.
A professional calibrator can help to reduce the yellow if you ever decided to go down that route.

My problem is mainly it's so clearly visible on black/white and greyish scenes, and it also causes white text for example, or white blocks (check for example some Steven Colbert YouTube videos where quotes are displayed on white squares) to appear brighter. This is especially the case on the left. Large chunks of text and the leftmost characters (if displayed close to the edge) are visibly more bright.

I would not mind a yellowish tone over the whole screen, which indeed can be fixed by calibration. But I doubt a calibration could fix yellowish tones on certain areas on the screen, or am I wrong?

I don’t think a cal would sort what I had it just got lighter or darker and was so obvious across the first 4-5 inches of the left hand side.

It seems a lot suffer but there are good ones, i am overly critical especially after seeing the first one but this current one has nothing my eyes can detect on any of the test screens at any angle. Lucky? Definitely.. had it not been as good I would have just lived with it or sent it back and stuck with the E6.

Calibrate your TV won't help with yellow tint at all. You can get better white whole over screen but yellow tint still will be visible.

Well, I'll see. Like I posted before, my retailer has a 710 (october) in stock which he can send me as a replacement, I've asked him if he's expecting any newer ones too. My guess is, the newer they are the more luck I may have in getting a better one. Stupid thing is, the tv can look amazing with fantastic contrast, blacks etc and is great for gaming but on certain content it just pulls me out of the experience due to the difference in colour/tint from left (bad) > center (good) > right 50% (soso).

My retailer is picking up my (their) B7 on Wednesday. Same day a new one is coming from elsewhere.

It's going to be really interesting how they handle packing it up. They've been told repeatedly that they need to bring some sort of packing as we threw out ours before we realised the fault. They've said it's not a problem, but I still have visions of them scratching their heads wondering how they're going to deal with a flimsy 65" oled.

This is the second time I've heard good things about November builds. If my first replacement isn't good I might hold on and try and get one from November or later.

Mine is Nov build too, it’s banding free, but I have the yellow tint in middle and the right side :-(.
This is my 3rd replacement and honestly I just got tired of packing and sending it back.
a newer build does not guarantee a prefect tv. Because such tv does not exist.
My only hope is it will get better overtime, and the anti reflective film will cure and clear up.
We know the UV light does not work, and calibration won’t do it because it’s not the actual pixels issue, it’s the anti reflective film.
Hopefully some expert will come up with a easy solution for it because I just hate to trade this one for another one with some ugly banding :-(

Well my set went back today and the new one arrived from Costco.

Much much better, some very very slight yellowing around the middle area but when viewing it's very much blended in. Pretty much unnoticeable during content. You really have to strain to see it. So much so I doubt I'd even have known about it unless I went looking.

Checking my goto scenes, GOT episode one, Capitan America Civil War opening shot, I just cant see it. Whereas before I had a yellow pee stain right the way down the left hand side and pink clouds on the right, now it's more or less perfect.

Can make it out on Interstellar a bit more but think this is a keeper.

Nope, it's all in the middle area, and very slight, well compared to what I had. Will try and take a photo after work.

The pic doesn't really show it but in person you can see a fair bit of very light yellow in the middle with the slide. But not on content.

So yeah I've been pretty lucky for a second set.
