    Hello,

Are there 2011 owners who have noticed the well-known DTS lfe bug wich was also in the 859RDS.
Have the 2011 a good lfe for DTS,lik DTS 5.1 and in DTS ES 6.1?

    Regards, Ruwan

Hello and thanks for your reply.

    Example:
Listen to the subwoofer when you playback a 5.1 dvd allong with a DTS 5.1 like T2:UE.
In T2:UE in chapter 3 you see the opening credits.
Then the two metal plates come together.
On my 859RDS the lfe of the DD 5.1 track is more pronounced and more louder than the DTS 5.1 when i switch to the DTS track to hear the same sequence.
And by all the DTS movies like The mexican R1,the Tuxedo R1.

    Regards Ruwan

One other thing I've noticed is that leaving the amp in THX Cinema mode doesn't sound as good as leaving it in Dolby PLII mode when playing a DVD with DTS or DD5.1 coding. The THX mode seems to have less dynamism, and dampen high frequences.

Anyone else noticed that, or is it my imagination?

    Hello,

That's correct but it is no a fault.
THX combines serval featurs like Re-EQ.
The Re-EQ function will damp the high frequencies of a soundtrack.
Films that are mixed wich contains high frequencies and pressed on dvd, will benefit of the Re-Eq function.
