Excellent! I've got an Egg card. I'll have to see if I can use this discount in conjuction with any of the other vouchers. Cheers for the heads up :smashin:

The discount is given as a rebate, not sure if it can be used with the vouchers though?

....don't want to split hairs here but the money is not a rebate as such. It is part of the egg 'cashback' scheme whereby they normally will give you 5% cashback against general purchases and this will accumulate throughout the year and they pay it out to you in September (I think). The egg offer is giving you an extra 15% 'cashback' against CDWow purchases throughout September (and providing you follow the CDWow link from the egg site), but chances are this may not see the light of day until next September. That's how I understand it anyway. Still worth having and knowing though isn't it? :)

The 'rebate' will be paid this September, so it's even more worth having. Get those egg cards out guys.

Egg normally give 0.5% cashback. It was 1% a year or two ago.

20% from cdwow would be nice, assuming it's not just for new customers.

Egg normally give 5% cashback to a selected few retailers, everyone else is as Triggaaar said.

Anyone know how pre-orders would work? Are you charged when the item is ordered or when the item is dispatched? If are charged when its dispatched then would you still get the rebate if the item was sent after september?

Yeah thanks - I noticed that from there website after first reading this thread. You do have to use the link from egg's website. Annoying, as I've used my card for all CD wow purchases, without the link.

Unless someone can explain otherwise, it also prevents using a discount link at the same time.

I had contacted egg to see if the purchases I made at CD WOW before I realised the link on their website would still get the 20% cashback but they told me NO!!!

So anybody like me who thought the might get 20% off plus 'other discounts' will be disappointed!! :thumbsdow

They didn't make it very clear that you had to use the link on their website to get the cashback. I can't remember anything in what they sent me through the post - did they state this?

Apparently, if you read the T&Cs at the egg website it does say that cashback claims are only valid through the use of their own, specific link
