    hi,

I've messed around for ages to find the right monitor setup, and have ended up with some to sell on :)
    • A really gorgeous Samsung CF791 UWQHD 34" AVA screen with Freesync
      I love it (the contrast, clarity and deep blacks are the best I've seen on a monitor);
it just that it doesn't really work with my X1X, and I have a Nvidia card in the PC, so Freesync no use. The Sammy is in excellent condition and has warranty remaining. Looking for £530 (they're at least £750 new)

      [NOW SOLD ELSEWHERE]
    • A 4K 32" VA Samsung U32H850. *Brand new*, boxed, and unused (I've had it out and powered it on; it's a nice screen but I decided to go for an HDR for the X1X). Apologies for the stock pics but as said it's literally been out the box once and repackaged again.
      Am after £400

    • I also have a nice QHD/2K IPS Dell U2515H in very good condition - £190
(there's a small mark on the stand, and a faint scratch on lower bezel - see pics)

Collection would preferred, but they'll all come in original boxes etc, so I'd also pack up for courier delivery at your cost/arrangement.

I was mulling over whether to switch to an ultra-wide, I've currently got an
LG 27UD68P 27" 4K UHD, is this something you may be interested in as a p/x for your Samsung, or is it a little small as you mentioned 32" displays?

It really is the dog's danglies, and in perfect nick. I'm actually tempted to keep it but have got a G-Sync HP Omen with the same panel which suits my needs better.

Feel free to make me an offer :)

    Hi m8,

I'm tempted to put in an offer on the CF791, but was just wondering how the AVA panel fares compared to an IPS?

I have an IPS on my 4K screen, and really like the brightness, so am unsure whether I would like the change?

Also is there any issues with the screen, dead pixels, colour uniformity etc.?

Out of interest, what monitor have you changed to, another 21:9, or dropping back to 16:9?

VA panels have better contrast, with less/no IPS glow, quicker response times, at the expense of narrower viewing angles (though still better than TN). They can also exhibit poorer pixel response times in high contrast situations, which appears as black smearing. But the higher end stuff like this Samsung will be fine, and you probably won't notice it.

@Cameron583 has answered this spot on. I actually prefer a VA panel; perhaps cos I have a OLED TV, once you see the contrast with a VA, an IPS looks washed out by comparison.

As you can see as it's also for sale on this thread, my main PC monitor previously was an IPS, and I've actually preferred the VA panels I've tried since.

I've replaced the CF791 with another 21:9 VA panel, the HP Omen X, simply as it has G-Sync. I actually like the look and overall feel of the Sammy better! Have really been umming and ahhing over whether to sell lol.

Absolutely no issues at all with dead pixels, colour uniformity etc. The *only* disadvantage compared to an IPS is the viewing angle, and for my use-case that really doesn't matter.

Thanks for the part-ex offer but I'm sorted now ta so just looking for straight sale.

There may be a small amount of wiggle room in the price but I think its pretty fair, considering it's in mint nick and theyre £750 new

hi mate, thanks for the prompt i've cleared out some ancient messages now lol

I've ended up with a HP Omen X 35" curved AVA UWQHD which has G-Sync, identical panel otherwise I think to the Sammy CF791 I'm selling (Freesync). Very pleased with it.

Can you confirm the warranty situation with the CF791, how long left and is it transferable also where was it purchased from? All being well would you take £480 for it and I can collect today or at some point over the weekend as only up the road from Worthing?

Sorry for the delay replying. I'll
Hi, it was bought in September 2017 from Amazon. Tell you the truth, I've never got around to registering it on the Samsung site, so there'll be no problem transferring warranty.

Best I'm willing to do on price is £500.

We're around over the weekend other than Sunday afternoon.

hi, it's 31.8" x 20.3" x 12.2" (with stand), so only about half the depth of your desk at 30cm or so.
