A mate of mine wants to position a projector behind a wall in his room.

The first thought he had, to hide the hole he will have to make to let the image through, was to hang a picture over it when the projector is not in use.

However now he is interested in hanging a 2 way mirror over the hole to save the effort of constantly removing and replacing a picture.

The obvious question is has anybody tried this and what effect does firing through a 2 way mirror have on the image?

    All opinions gratefully received.

It wil severely knock back the output from the projector one way glass is never 100% transparent . There will also be some colour shift but you might be able to correct for this albeit at the cost of some additional output.

I suspect it will knock down the brightness too much to be usable.

I don't think it will work with a 2 way mirror. It will cut down way too much light even for a lamped projector. You would problay get some strange colour casts too.

best go with the picture idea, (remember thunderbirds)
