If I have two STB's, one active SKY subscription card, and one FreeSat SKY card, is it possible to run a line from the dish to supply a signal to the two STB's?

What I want ideally is to be able to watch the freeview channels on box 2, keeping my subscription channels on box 1, but without needing a second dish OR a multiroom subscription.

    Anyone know?

It depends on what sort of LNB is fitted to your dish. If it's a single output LNB, you would have to change it to a 2 or 4 output and run a new cable from the dish to the second box.

Wooo, nice...but I can feed a 2nd box with a freesat card, and that's completely legit?

I don't see why not. You'll only be watching the free stuff on the second box. The only thing you might fall foul of is any warranty that you might have on the dish. If you haven't got a 2 or 4 output LNB, you can get them on Ebay very cheaply.

    Magic...cheers Nick.

Not worried about warranty, the dish is 6+ years old now.

No probs - just do a search on Ebay for "Quad LNB" :)
