2 monitors using RGB connecting to a docking station

Hi,

Hope someone can help. I have a laptop with a docking station. The docking station has 1xRGB and 1xDVI ports. I have 2 monitors but both only have RGB connections.
Is there anyway I can use both of these monitors at the same time (ie showing different applications, not just both showing the same screen).

By RGB do you mean VGA?

If so then it'll depend on the laptop or docking station. If the DVI port is DVI-I then there's a chance that a DVI-A to VGA connector will work if the system is internally capable of more than one VGA output. You'd have to look at the manual to determine that.

If it's DVI-D then that wouldn't work. You may be able to use the VGA output on the laptop (if it has one) alongside the one on the docking port.

Otherwise you're looking at an active converter for ~£25.

It's DVI=D
So that means a converter. Can you reccomend one ?
