instead of double clicking the itunes icon shift-double click. It prompts you for which library to use. Use 2 different libraries one for each ipod

If you have two Ipods and they belong to two different people, I would also suggest making a new account for the person on the PC itself.

Thats how I've got lossless onto my itunes server. I have a NAS which has all my lossless alac files on. I default link to that library on the nas so when I'm playing music on my pc its on alac.

The nas then offers that as an Itunes service for the other pcs and upnp devices around the house (plus it does photos etc)

I then have another 2 libraries one for each of our ipods. I then have a mapped drive to the NAS where all the alac files live. I then import into the libraries the tunes I want on each of the ipods down converting to a relevent bit rate.

It takes up a chunk of disc space - the nas in lossless and the 2 ipod duplicated libraires but as the ipods are only 30 and 80gb they dont take up a huge amount of space. Although the photos are of course duplicated too and included in that 110gb.

How do you do the complete opposite - I want 1 database of music & files but share that between 2 ipods and 3 user accounts?? The 3 rd account runs a Roku.

    :lease:
