    Hi,

Anyone know how to run 2 identical PCI cards (Skystar 2 DVB - digital satellite cards), on 2 PCI slots in Win XP?

Install one fine, install the second, during set up, the previous software needs to be uninstalled B4 it will install.

Even if I uninstall the previous software, I see both cards in device manager (numbered #1, #2), - if I try to disable one the system restarts - I don't want to disable either, just trying things here).

I know this is possible, but I'm told very tricky.

Something to do with resource sharing, conflicts etc...

Anyone know any work arounds, IRQs etc...

I presume this would be the case for any PCI device, in Win XP or maybe even Win 98, ME etc...

BTW, both cards (identical) would be using the same drivers & similiar software.

    Any input appreciated.

Assign a different IRQ to each PCI slot in the motherbpard BIOS. Also make sure the 2 PCI slots you are using don't share an IRQ, as any motherboard with 5 or more PCI slots will have at least 2 PCI slots sharing IRQ's.
