    Hi All,

I have recently had new subwoofer cabinets made for me, although I am keeping the drivers I am selling the 2 Cabinets they were originally housed in.

This is the perfect start for anyone looking to get custom made subwoofers to compete with the high end ones but like myself, has no DIY skills on how to make them

Each cab is a 25inch cube (just a fraction under) with a 190 litre volume. They are made with solid 1inch thick mdf and are very heavy even without the driver, so you will need some help carrying them as I have them upstairs out of the way for now.

The finish is not professional, they have been primed, sanded and had a basic spray but they will need re-sanding and re-spraying/painting to get a more professional finish if that's what you are after.

They already have speaker terminals attached so all you will need is an amp and a driver and your away. They also have sunken magnets at the front to attach some black fabric covers to (covers provided).

They were designed to house the FIQ18s, so you will need a driver to match those dimensions.

I am selling them for £90 each or £170 for the pair. It is collection only, I am in the Dagenham area.

    Thank You.
    Marty

p.s. the cabs in the pics are stacked on top of eachother for space issues in the bedroom :)

    Price and currency: £180
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: Cash in Hand
    Location: Dagenham

It would fit a SP4,right,as the Q18 and the SP4 18'' have the same dimensions?Have you weighted the cabs,at least an approximate weight.I am not far from Dagenham and could be interested in a cab for a future SP4 project. Can you tell me why are you selling them and buying smaller cabs from USC?Better bass,i presume.

I would need the measurements of the sp4 to be sure and I will check them against my fi's.

I can't be 100% sure of the weight but I would say around 30KG each at a guess, without the drivers in.

Dan designed these cabs to have the option to be altered in size internally, so I could have just added some blocks of wood and foam lining to the cabs to decrease the internal volume and this would have achieved the exact same sound as the USC's I have now. I am not too confident with playing around with the internal parts of the sub so I made the decision to get someone with expertise to ensure it is done right, I knew the sound I was looking for so I knew I wouldn't need this size cab anymore.

Besides this the other reasons I changed over was I wanted to be able to lower my PJ screen so I needed smaller cabs in order to do this, I also wanted a professional gloss black finish to match my speakers, something I do not have the skills to do.

    Thanks,this is from their site:
    Sub OD: 18.500” | 18.500”
    Cut ID: 16.750” | 16.750”
    Mounting depth(SP4):11.750” | 11.750” Mounting depth(Q18): 10.000”

It appears only the depth is different between the Q and the SP4.

The internal brace will need to be modified to cater for that depth, I think it's about an inch out depending on where the depth of the driver is measured from but everything else should fit like a glove :smashin:

Thanks for the info, but after some consideration i decided against a SP4 project. The 18'' driver is actually cheaper than all of its rivals, but it still comes at 500+ pounds in UK and my sub(still disconnected and awaiting a BASH) is more than enough for now.
