    Hi there,

anyone got any recommendations for a 2-Channel amp to pair up with my Bryston 9BST for a 7.1 system - should I stick with Bryston (e.g. 3B/4BST), or is there anyting else I migt want to look at?

Also, bit of a noob question, but is there a standard configuration for connecting up a 7.1. system with a 5 + 2 channel amp? I assume I'd drive front left/right speakers with the 2 channel amp, and the front centre + 4 rears with the 5 channel. Or might it be prudent to buy an amp with more channels for future multi-speaker (8,9,10 speakers?) configurations?

    Ta very much,

    Colin

    Hi

If you already have Bryston amps then better to stick with them, they really are superb. How about their 3CH amp to power the front three speakers and your existing amp to run the back four (with one spare)?

Soon as I get my mitts on some more cash a 3ch Bryston will be powering my front channels.:D
