hi,is dolby true only 2 ch,if so,is it better than standard cd sound
Dolby True HD is multi channel but some players have not implemented the multi channel decode yet. It is actually designed to be downmixed quite easily without quality loss.pat clancy said:hi,is dolby true only 2 ch,if so,is it better than standard cd sound

There is one Japanese HD-DVD encoded at 24 bits, 96kHz. 24/96 is far superior to CD audio. Unfortunately the audio takes up so much space on the disc that the video quality is impacted.
It would be nice to see more 20/48 or 24/48 tracks on HD-DVD as this would not add a significant overhead in terms of disc space while still being better than CD.
