2 Ch Stereo in Rears only?

i have a Yamaha 863 and was wondering if it was possible to have 2ch stereo (when selected) assigned to my rear speakers only and not the fronts. this is because they are Mission M71 bookshelf speakers and are more suited to music than my anthony gallo's fronts.

i imagine it's imossible but you never know!
