I have a Yamaha DSP A1 hooked up with a set of Kef eggs which I use for home cinema. I also have a musical fidelity stereo integrated amp which drives another pair of speakers for listening to music.

Is there a way to get the A1 to become a 7.1 amp using the speakers that are connected to the MF amp whilst still being able to use the MF for stereo?

Would the only solution be to get a speaker switching unit and then manually switch the speakers between the A1 and the MF depending on whether I wanted to listen to music or home cinema?

    Any other suggestions appreciated.

Had a read through the manual for the A1 - am I right in saying that I just need to remove the jumpers on the main channel pre-out and connect the main pre out to an input on my mf amp with a couple of interconnects? Is it really that easy?
