Recently I purchased a house that was built in 1993 and was pre-wired for speakers. The previous homeowners never utilized it so everything is as it was installed.
In the dining room I have one wall plate (next to light outlet) and two ceiling plates that are covering speaker wires. The wall plate has 1 set of red/black wires. The ceiling plate closest to the wall plate has 1 sets of red/black wires AND 1 set of 4 red/black/green/yellow wires. The ceiling plate farthest from the wall has only 1 set of red/black wires. I haven't been able to verify this part, but I strongly believe the other end of the red/black/green/yellow wire comes out behind my family room entertainment center. It's located in the wall and fishing it out shouldn't be a problem.
I'd like to install these on a Sonos amp and utilize the wall volume control as well. Any ideas and suggestions on the best way to hook this up?
Thanks for reading and all suggestions welcomed.
