So the mother-in-law has a faulty backlight (from her description) on her UE49NU7300K - she called Samsung but it's out of warranty, what's the deal with TVs out of warranty these days? I know previously I've had them changed for essentially being faulty at the point of manufacturing (ie faulty component) - also something along the lines of the TV not being fit for purpose...how do these things work lately? Is it work trying to get them to fix/replace it? Purchased from Argos FWIW.

Thanks in advance of any advice :)

I'm not surprised LG didn’t want to do anything as your M-I-L's TV (or rather the model no you’ve given here) is a Samsung 😄
