    Hi,

I need to get a 17" LCD screen for the kitchen. This is likely to be fed by a (cheap) DVD player and a freeview box.

Seen the Manhattan tv in John Lewis for about £550 which looks OK. Anyone have any other suggestions? The DVD player will be new so progressive scan is an option.

    regards,

    Ryan

An integrated 17" LCD/Freeview/DVD is exactly what I want to replace CD/radio and 14" TV in the kitchen.

However £800 is a bit much especially from an unknown brand. You can get an LG 17"/DVD (Model KZ17LZ21) for about £560. Don't know if this is any good though!

Are LG LCDs any good. Where is the best place to look for reviews?

I can't afford it for a few months so I hope there will be something new by then (or the prices will be cheaper).

Toshiba have released a 17" IDTV which should be worth checking out, various places quote between £500 and £550. It's the 17WLT46, do a search. I'm going to get one when i can find them in stock somewhere.

    Lucky Goldstar

Why not call Turbosat and find out

I reckon it would be great for the caravan when it is raining, at the 3 favourite sites we use DTTV is easily available - I usually take the Twin!

I don't know who make Lucky Goldstars panels but there are not that many makers.

Anyway I have emailed Turbosat and will let people know when I have a reply

    Cheers C,
Think I still favour the Toshiba at present, would really like to hear some user opinions but I think this model is really new and can't even find any specialist reviews ! :(
