    Hi
Am after a 30" LCD - my other half can get me a Relisys 30" for around £1000, but it has a response time of 25ms - am I likely to notice this? Should I spend a bit more and try a different maufacturer with a 16ms response time? I want to be able to watch DVDs and the usual TV stuff on it.

    Thanks
    Russ

    You can get a 32" Toshiba for £1238, which I think has a response time of 10ms....or a 30" for £1090.

Imo, it would be worth spending the little bit extra for a larger screen, and a good brand.

All down to the individual, but I imagine even if you didn't notice at first, you would eventually... LCDs aren't the best things to hold back on in the money department.

50Hz PAL requires at least a 20ms response rate
60Hz NTSC requires at least a 16ms response rate

It looks like one of the sets meets this criteria, the other doesn't. So I would say that the Relsys would definately exhibit motion blur, the 16ms one unlikely to. Or is this too simplistic a view?

I was down there today and it was £1599 - I did manage to find it on the web for (IIRC) £1,420ish but I can't for the hell of me find the URL at the moment.
