Can anyone recommend if 150 LED is sufficient enough to backlight a TV or would I need to bump up to 300?

If you have an LCD TV with only 1cm gap between the TV rear and the wall, you may find that 150 LED's does not give you enough 'wall-fill'. If the gap is more than 4-5cm then 150 is fine.
