    Hi,

Were going to be moving house shortly and I went around to the new place tonight to measure up.

The viewing distance to the TV is going to be about 13 feet.

I currently have a 48" sammy LED tv.

I'm thinking this is going to be too small for this distance, so thought I would get a bigger one when we move in.

I have about a £1000 budget, I guess I'd be looking at 55" or some 60" TV's at this price range?

I did think about a projector, but the cost of replacing the lamps put's me off...

At 13 feet i would definitely recommend a projector, it might also be worth keeping your 48" at 13 feet i don't think you will notice much difference between 48", 55" and 65" a projector is the way to go imo.

Absolutely no need for a projector for 13ft.

Thanks for the reply, do you think I would be OK with my current 48"?

I've got the green light from the other half to go bigger if I want to?

At 13feet the 48" would be ok for most but a 55" would be a better size for the distance in my opinion. And anyway, if the misses said yes then why would you not buy a bigger one! Haha

It really is down to personal opinion. I currently have an older 40" at 10' but having a 50" delivered today as we also recently moved house. I didn't feel the need to go bigger as it would just look too big for the room but some people love a super huge TV dominating the wall.....I don't.

Why not wait until you actually move? Keep the money set aside and then make a choice once you're in. It's exactly what I have done.
