Just got a new ( to me) projector - ASK m5. I want to use its 12v output if it has one. There are no obvious outputs. Do all projectors have these things? There is a hole with a symbol above it that looks like a chain, but don't know what would go in it. Is this any good?

Andy (Dead happy with his new projector)

If the projector is not designed for Home Cinema use, it is unlikely to have a 12 volt trigger.
As far as I know the ASK projectors are designed for the corporate/presentation market.

Thanks for your replies.

Kensington Lock? Is this for security or something? Sounds logical.
I think i'm out of luck with this. I just thought that all projectors had these things. Nevermind.

Cheers
Andy

There is a cure, but it costs about £150 They are available from owl, I can get you one if you're interested. Works with any PJ, enables anything that can accept a trigger signal to be operated. I presume this is a screen you want to work?

Ye, thats what I was interested in, but at £150 it will have to wait i'm afraid. Thanks for the offer though.
