Im looking to get 2 new PC monitors and run them as dual displays. Im gonna be using them for music/website design. Im just wondering which resolution is better to get? 1280x720 or 1920x1080, and what's the difference?

As the numbers suggest one is bigger than the other hence more pixels on screen which is better - depending on the size of screen you want (22" or bigger) you will want to get the higher res.

ye I was looking to get 2 22" monitors. Thanks for your reply

1280x720 is HD Ready, 1920x1080 is 1080p HD
1080p HD is a better resolution. So better for photo editing and so forth. If your into design and Photoshopping, I'd go for 1080p. If both of them are the same price, go for 1080p. Always go for the best! :D

Bigger is not always better ;)

Do you really need 1080p for music/website design ?

Have you have a look at the Dell range with IPS ? They are like a cheap version of the Apple cinema displays. You could also stick both monitors in portrait mode and save on desk space. ;)

Those Dell IPS range monitors look really good. Shame i already bought monitors, ah well
